Welcome to our community! We are a disability support company proudly founded and operated by people who are also participants in the NDIS. This lived experience gives us a unique perspective, allowing us to understand and empathize from both sides of the support journey. With over 15 years of collective experience, we have developed a deep commitment to advocating for, supporting, and empowering individuals with disabilities.

About Me

Hello, I’m Heather, the Founder and Managerial Director of Your Choice QLD. I started Your Choice in 2022, drawing from my personal experience as a person with a disability and a full-time wheelchair user. With over 10 years in the industry and 15 years of lived experience, I’ve learned that living with a disability is a journey filled with both challenges and moments of resilience.

But it’s not just about navigating the NDIS. It’s about creating a welcoming community—a place where we are not only seen and heard but truly understood. The word “inclusion” comes up a lot these days, but what does it really mean? For me, inclusion is more than just a word we throw around—it’s about action, about creating spaces where everyone, regardless of ability, feels genuinely welcomed, valued, and understood. I don’t want to use the word without living its true meaning. At Your Choice, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. It’s about making sure that no one is left behind, that everyone’s voice matters, and that we’re building a community where we can all belong and thrive.

At Your Choice, my aim is to be there for everyone—whether you’re someone who’s ready to reach new heights, need a bit of help along the way, or simply want someone to listen. I believe in supporting individuals to live confidently and fully, with the warmth and understanding of a community that celebrates each of us just as we are.
